ok, I have problem trying to setup this. below is our environment:

www.app.com (ASP.NET, 3.5)

www.app.com/content
- this is the site we want to use CMS to manage it.
- in IIS it will be a virtual dir.

I installed DNN, tried many way try to add site to point to www.app.com/content (in current testing/dev, it's localhost:88/content )

one of the main problem is web.config conflict
even if i can setup it in DNN, the content site won't run due to web.config conflict.

Is it possible to setup the localhost:88/content is a webapp byitself, using it's "own" web.config?
or DNN sites all must run under DNN web app scope/web.config?

If your DNN is http://yourDNNsite.com then you can create a child portal called http://yourDNNsite.com/APP - this will use DNN web.config which is not what you want. From what I see you have a separate application that has its own web.config - I would probably create an alias call it APP.yourDNNsite.com and run it separately with its own web.config and if you want to integrate this app within your DNN site, then just create a tab on your DNN call it APP and in Page settings forward to App.yourdnnsite.com
