hi all

i have made portal using DNN 5.6 and i want to move it to another domain , so i have taken backup from my database and FTP files , then i have changed Web.config to be according to new domain or server ,  uploaded the files to the new server , but after all of these steps , the portal didn't appear any thing and didn't redirect to any page like host.aspx or admin.aspx.

so, can any one tell me the steps to backup and restore DNN portal step by step urgently

thanks alot

you need to add new address as site alias, either in Admin > Site Settings or directly in the database, table PortalAlias.
