Hi,

We are new to DNN and wanted to know how we can recover hash-password.

I understand those cannot be recovered. In that case how do we reset it.

Note: All old users have not specified secret questions and answers

We are also happy that user can update it to new passwords, but the existing / new users don't have [secret question and answers specified]

What is the way out, other than specifying contact admin.

Please let me know DNN method to do the same.

you can use UserController.ResetAndChangePassword(user, newPassword) - this will first reset the password, store the reset password and then use it to change the password to the desired new password. Note: there is a known issue with the requiresQuestionAndAnswer setting -this is due to be fixed in 7.4.1 https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow...
