how do I upgrade a module I once have built in the proper way ? sometime i find myself having to uninstall the module before upgrading and that cannot be right .... is upgradeing the module done on the very same command host>>Module definitions>>Install module?

You need to change the version number in the manifest to a higher version and simply install again. If the new version includes sql scripts, you need to ensure you have a new script for each published release and have those defined in the manifest too. Each script that is declared with a higher version than the old installed one will run, the others will be skipped. Then you need to ensure the scripts are written in a way that they will upgrade the old data if you have any data changes.
