There will also be support for Amazon S3 and Azure file storage providers in DNN 6, which would allow you to host your static content in distributed servers closer to your client.

Is S3 and Azure a Pro only feature?  I thought they were going into the core.

Folder provider infrastructure and APIs are all available in core (CE). These API would allow anyone to create a folder provider for any 3rd party service. but currently the only providers provided by DNN Corp are Amazon S3 and Azure which are shipped as a part of DNN Pro and DNN Enterprise.

Ugh. Really? That seems like something that could have been a core provider. Anyone can take advantage of Azure and S3. Can you imaging having powerDNN but not having to pay 10cents per megabyte. Its 10cents per gigabyte on Azure and S3.

Why does this have to be a multi thousand dollar feature or hope someone makes a third party provider? i dont like this decision at all.
