I recently made an inquiry to the DNN sales department about pricing and features for the professional edition. They claim that performance is improved. But the claim is extremely vague. No benchmarks, no specific technical details about how and why.. Not very persuasive so far in convincing me to go from 'free' to thousands of dollars. Can anyone tell me their specific experience with this, or understanding of the differences.

I know the pro edition supports webfarms and the free edition doesnt.

ALso the pro version has some type of module caching that caches the content of the module in the database so it doest need to get processed by the webserver.

Here your go.  This is from this site: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Co...

Module Caching

A database caching provider for module content which stores module content in a centralized database for faster page loading without requiring web server processing.

Page Caching

Allows your site to save an entire page of rendered content to one of three different caching locations: memory, database or disk. Improves page delivery speed for site visitors.

There will also be support for Amazon S3 and Azure file storage providers in DNN 6, which would allow you to host your static content in distributed servers closer to your client.

Is S3 and Azure a Pro only feature?  I thought they were going into the core.
