When I have a page with a module on it and I go to the settings of that module, the code of the module is also exectuted (and also of the other modules on the page), why is that? It isn't good for performence!!



Can one prevent it?

My guess is that this is because the handling of the settings command is done serverside, which redirects to the proper url. You could check if it's a postback and react to that...
