We are using DNN(6.2.3) with 5 servers(8 cpus each and 16gb ram)(all vm's) in front of an equalogic san with 48 1tb drives where our file share is.

we are running into performance issues, when we had 1200 portals in a single instance of dnn, everything seemed to be running fine.  but we have recently doubled that to 2600(however the 1400 new sites are not live(dns is not pointed)), and our performance has gotten really poor especially during peak times....

we are expecting to get to 5000 portals in a year or two, is our expectation that dnn could handle this incorrect?  we have a ton of hardware/horsepower invested in this solution....

anybody got any experience using DNN's webfarm solution with large numbers of portals in a single instance install?

thanks,

matt
