Guys,
I'm trying to use the ISearchable to provide site wide search for a custom module of mine which manages news using its own tables. I've followed dnn docs (Dev Guide) and got the interface implemented properly.

When I hit the re-index  (Under debug mode) the 'GetSearchItems' method of the business controller class does get executed and returns a list of SearchInfoItems (With many items) as well. How ever there are no entries in the SearchItem table or any other related tables and of course I dont get any search results.

Can any one tell me what could be wrong?

Thank you!
Creed.

Are you populating the searchiteminfo objects fully? with dates, titles, descriptions, etc?

clear the search tables (http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/AboutDotnetNuke/V3V4TippsTricks/Suchindexlöschen.aspx) and retry.

I believe ISearchable checks the date and if there has been no change since the last re-index, it won't update the search tables.  The module ISearchable is suppose to return the date of the last content change.  If the module content did changed, but this date does not, the search tables would not be updated.

AFAIK isearchable does only check the date per item against the one in the index. if the search index is cleared, this data is removed as well and a full index is performed, unless the module itself tries to optimize (like Forums module).
