Dear Colleagues!

We have a module for Pages Administration. It works fine for already more then 50 customers. Yesterday we got new customer. He has:

  • Windows 2008
  • DNN Professional 5.5.1
  • SQL 2008
  • IIS7
  • Dedicated server with Xeon 2.4 and 8 Gb of memory
  • Main DNN Installation has replication to a second load balanced server.
Client installed our module, worked with it and everything was fine. But few hours ago he called us with strange bug. Sometimes whole portal returns this error:

Could not load file or assembly 'forDNN.Modules.TabsManager' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied.

When client tries to click F5 it has no sense for 2-3 minutes. And this forDNN.Modules.TabsManager.dll presents in the folder and with the same permissions as before. Then after 2-3 minutes site back and everything works fine again without any problems. Error appears randomly, no rules for it. Only difference for this customer is bigger number of pages he works with, then other customers.

Any ideas or comments about this bug?

Thanks in advance!

Sergey

This might be not the cause of your own module, so I would reckon it is their web hosting environment. Did yourself get the same error like your client?
If not, it is definitely on their end as i thought.

No, definitely, not me, not our other clients have this issue. This problem belongs to this client only.

We just got some more information. After deeper debug it looks like problem belongs to the 64-bit architecture. When we tried to move whole portal to another server with 32-bit architecture it works fine. We continue to look for the problem.

Dear Colleagues!

Hope this information helps someone else. Problem with unexpected issue "..not found. Access denied." has been fixed after long debugging. Problem has been fixed with recompilation project for 32 bit only. This is really strange, because server is Windows 2008 and for 64 bit. But its true, after recompilation for 32 bit only everything works fine and stable. Hope this helps someone.
