Hello

I have some problems in the site log module which doesn't show the referrer 

I don't know why it doesn't show the referral site most of the times and was wondering how to fix that

or if there is a better free module somewhere that I can add for efficient reports and would love to see the country of each visitor instead of their ip that would be great

so if anyone can help me out or point me out to where I could find a fix for this or a better module I would appreciate

The referral is pulled from the server variables collection which retrieves it from the httprequest - if it's not stored in sitelog it will not suddenly appear in any other stats package (some users are behind proxy servers which automatically strip referrers). However, the sitelog is quite old, and in general I would recommend you use the built-in google analytics module - this will allow you to register your site with google and offload the logging to them and have access to much richer analysis tools.

I hate google and I stopped using it even for searches cause they scam publishers but seems that I don't have any other choice

You can try piwik.org. It is simular to google analytics, but you have full control over it because you have to install it on your'e own server.
