Hello,

I would like to find a module that can 'wrap' other modules and create a nice looking presentation, a sort of gallery of modules.

This page has the kind of thing I'm looking for, on the right where it says 'related recipes':
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/ros...
The content is wrapped into an 'accordion' style control presumably using JQuery. But this is just one way to display a collection modules, it would be nice to find others.

The closest I've found are the following 3rd party controls:
  http://www.mandeeps.com/products/dotnetnuke-modules/live-accordion/demos/pane-header-icons.aspx
  http://www.dnngo.net/OurModules/EffectCollection/E013_Tabs.aspx
  http://www.dnnsharp.com/dotnetnuke/mo...

But I haven't been able to achieve the look and feel that I'm looking for, the options for display seem a bit limited. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Steve

Hello,

I've been unable to find an accordion type module as described in my previous post. To recap I am looking for module similar to one featured on this page:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/a...rry__91830
Notice the box on the right titled 'Related Recipes', and that there are 3 boxes below which expand and collapse smoothly when clicked.

I would like to be able to add a module (or preferably multiple modules) into each tab of the accordion control.

If there isn't a 3rd party module I can buy to do this, can anyone advise me on how to develop such a module?
I assume I would need to use JQuery to create the accordion effect.
But I'm not sure how I would allow a user to add a module to my module and I haven't been able to find any information on doing this.
Does anyone know of a good resource for DNN module development that would give this kind of detail?

Steve

there is a module called dnn aggregator which I believe does this - see http://store.dotnetnuke.com/home/product-details/aggregator-60-incl-1-yr-membership .The wiki also has lots of useful development content - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/loc/allpages/Cat/Development.aspx

Thankyou Cathal, The Aggregator does indeed support an accordion style control with modules on the tabs as I was looking for.

Haven't been able to try it out yet, as the trial installation failed, so am waiting for DNNStuff support to come back to me.

Best Regards,

Steve
