I have a page with an empty SocialMediaPane.

I put an HTML module in that pane so I can put a one line note on the top of the page.

However the HTML module is large and takes up 1/3 of Screen even though it is just one partial line of text and I was sure to delete any spaces after that text.

How can I add just a short one line note on a page?

Hi Joel, that is strange, you should be able to put a one liner in the way you describe with no problem (I just tried to make sure). I would firstly go in to edit mode and check that there is no extraneous code in HTML view and also check that there are no breaks in the module header and footer. Shouldn't make any difference but which container are you using? Try DK Invisible and see if that works.

The problem was teh specific skin I was using.
I just changed to a different skin (sub skin of the site ) and it works FINE

Was it the container, or the skin causing the issue?

Actually it was the CONTAINER.

I hate to ask this, but I need to know.  What is the difference between the container and the skin?

I am not sure which does what?????

For example if I want to have a page with NO MENU, at all would I copy the skin and modify it and save as a different name then use that new skin?

OR would I modify the container???

OR do I modify both???
