I use a basic HTML module to house my Google Adsense code. My new responsive skin is great for mobile devices...however, my Adsense ads are not.

So my issue is that I need to show Google Adsense Mobile code under window width of say, 800, and hide the regular Adsense code. AND do it without modifying the Adsense code--that's strictly a no-no.

What would you suggest?

Just wanted to check, did you provide fixed widths to all your content pane and div structures in your skin.
If this is the case it will surely create problem.

Try providing width in '%', which will adjust according to your screen.
even if it may be a Mobile device

Cheers..!!!

I use this, I believe it is within the 'spirit' of not modifying the ad code ... I'm only showing a different size of ad to mobile users. This works in my responsive skin as I see mobile ads shown in Google Adsense ad sizes report.

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "your client # here";
    if (window.innerWidth >= 728) {
/* LeaderBoard */
google_ad_slot = "your slot # here";
google_ad_width = 728;
google_ad_height = 90;
    } else {
/* MobileBanner */
google_ad_slot = "your slot # here";
google_ad_width = 320;
google_ad_height = 50;
    }
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"

</script>

John,

You're braver than I am, other than A/B testing, from what I've read Google can be pretty harsh with modified code.

Still, it's the one solution I've seen mentioned and Google doesn't appear to have any answers.
