We want to disable the "friend," "follow" and "message" functions in our user group. The only way I know to do this is to remove the modules and hide the pages they appear on, as well as stripping out that code from the Member Directory template. Is there a cleaner way to disable that functionality?

This was an early request for the social frameworks but there hasn't been much action on it from what I can tell.

You can sort of disable things by just manually changing templates and hiding pages... but it's imperfect. There's a related problem in the emails - it's hard for users to control what messages come to them automatically from the system.

Hi
I think there is no such cleaner way to disable that.
You can add a note here and bring it to dnn teams attention.
