I have added a custom field under user profiles and now I would like to display that field in the member directory and also under advanced search.  I have tried changing MemberDirectory.js to include it in the  Computed Profile Observables section but that doesn't seem to allow it to be used the same as Website from the same section.  I don't see anything similar in any of the other files in the module that would handle this so I am assuming it is handled elsewhere instead of in the module files it self?  Has anyone been able to get this to work?

Thanks,

Brian Mallow

I was able to get the field to display on the member card using
  • so that portion worked.

I am now trying to get that same field as a search field under advanced search on the module. When I go to Member Directory Settings under Search Settings the new field isn't located in the drop down list to select. Where is it pulling this list from so that I can change/edit it to display the new field?

    Thanks,
    Brian Mallow

I have finally figured out the issue. It appears if the profile field is a list, it will not display in the dropdown menu's of settings for the Directory Module. If converted to a text it immediately appears. I would like it to be a dropdown field AND show up in the settings menu. Any suggestions?

I fear you would need to use a 3rd party module for your purpose.
