I don't think I am the only developer who feels the need to tidy the (HTML) code in modules every time I upgrade to a new version.

 <P align="center">

<DIV align="center">
 <TABLE id="Table1" cellSpacing="0" cellPadding="0" width="500" align="center" border="0">

What is THAT all about? Uppercase P, DIV, Table. id="Table1" cellSpacing what the *&%$£?

I have just installed the latest Events module and the HTML looks like it was written in FrontPage version 1. Would it not make sense for the modules to be brought up to date?

I know Microsoft think cellSpacing is a legal <table /> attribute but it isn't in any W3C standard that I know of. HTML is moving towards XHTML so why not tidy up the code? I'm fed up converting all the garbage HTML code every time a new version of any module or even the DNN Core is released.

Come on guys, for you it's a one-time change, for us it is an every-time change. It's very unprofessional.

If you want to submit your HTML changes back to me I would be happy to integrate them in the next release.  We are working to refresh the Events team and get this moving forward..  Send your updated files to joe.brinkman AT dotnetnuke DOT com

Is there a browser that has problems rendering such HTML?
