We use a different skin for Admin as defined in the Portal settings to avoid having a Login skin object available to regular users.  When clicking on any event to view the details, the detail view uses the admin skin!  I have looked at the page settings and the skin is set at 'Portal Default'.  You can see this here:

http://www.ihsaa.org/dnn/Calendar/tabid/87/Default.aspx

Click on any event to see the difference (note the header image is different and there is a Login skin object in the details view).

Am I missing something, or is this something to log in Gemini?

Hi,

If you assign a skin to the page, it should pick this up and apply the skin to your detail view. The module looks at the the page to see if a skin is applied, and applies this to the url.

Yeah. I am having the same problem with two different skins (one for users and one for admin). The only difference is, that the wrong skin is only displayed when the event is accessed through search results. Meaning: When the event shows up in search results on page and I click the link, the skin changes. When I click on the event in a listview, the details view shows up with the correct skin.

Anyone experienced the same issue?

Hiya,

This is one for us to investigate. However, have you tried setting the skin on your search results page? Not sure if that will do it. The danger is if we add the extensions needed to the url to have it display in the right skin, these will then become static in the search index. If you later change the skin, the search index will still have the old skin stored.

Thank you for answering me so promptly. I tried setting the default skin on the search results page but it had no effect to the details view of the event. It still shows up with the admin skin. I think it is definitely a bug.

You wrote about passing the skin with the URL? How about modifying the search results module to append the skin to each search result link?
