Are there developers around who are willing to assist the Events team with new versions of DNNEvents? We have a lot of ideas and request and can really use some extra hands in transforming these ideas into real code.

Requirements: VB.net coding experience with DNN modules and preferably  some .js experience as well. And willing to spend a couple of hours every month working together to create new versions of DNNEvents.

If so, please leave a note here or send me an email at ernstpeter.tamminga AT dotnetnuke.com

Hey Ernst,

Are there any plans to refactor the events module to C# at any stage.

Cheers

Westa

Conversion to C# is since long on the roadmap, but not executed because the person who did most of the coding, Roger Selwyn, is fluent in VB.net and not in C#. But since Roger is doing a small step back, due to work and familiy, it is a viable option again.

Personally I would welcome a migration to C# and I have the tools to do a conversion automatically with 99% accuracy.

If we did the conversion, would you have well enough time to work together and make it work again, while also replacing a number of components (especially the calendar)?
