There are couple problems with RadEditor in both DNN 5.5.1 and DNN 5.6.0 regarding to creating hyperlinks to files loacated in the secure file system.

In DNN 5.5.1, the hyperlink manager always returns the very first file in the secure folder.  For example, there are three files in the folder.  You want to create a link to the last file.  The hyperlink manager always gives you the first one in that folder.

I was hoping the issue would be resolved in DNN 5.6.0.  I upgrade to DNN 5.6.0 yesterday.  Yet, a new problem comes up.  The hyperlink manager no longer returns the LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=######.  Instead, it returns the actual file path in the system.  Since the file is in a secure folder, the link doesn't work.

Is there a configuration setting for the RadEditor I'm not aware of, or is it a known issue with RadEditor?

If it's a problem with the RadEditor, would the DNN native text editor work with hyperlinks for files in secure folder?  Would you guide me how to switch it over to the other editor?

Thank you in advance for any advice!!

I upgraded from 4.5 and have noticed this same issue. I am not that educated about the differences between the versions, but this loss of functionality may require me to downgrade to a previous version. What is the highest version where this still functions?

Any help would be great, as currently I can no longer provide services that used this feature to keep documents private.

We have done a new blank installation of DNN 5.6.1 - the same issue - Links to files within secure folder can't be set  with Rad Editor - and we don't even know how to do else?

I would use documents module or FnL to create your file links, AFAIK non of the editor providers support secure folders atm.
