I'm working on upgrading to DNN 5.6. On the websites my organization hosts we have flash banners on the home page. The flash banner is not working. I've made sure the flash files are located in the correct location (I compared them to our current version of DNN copy that I have). From my research, I see others have had this issue and the feedback has been regarding an empty portalalias table or the domain not in the portalalias table. However, the domain I'm working with is in the portalalias table, I'm able to access the website. When I try to directly access the flash file via: domainname/flashfile.swf, I get the following error: "Domain Name [the domain name/ flash file.swf] Does Not Exist In The Database". I've also checked the security for the folder hosting the DNN files, I have the following: ASP.NET Machine Account, Internet Guest Account, & Network Service [for my app pool). I also read a feedback regarding "Objectqualifier" node however we are not using custom qualifiers and I compared the it to our previous (working) DNN install and the "Objectqualifier" is equal to "" (empty string). I upgraded DNN by downloading the Install package (Community version) on a new folder, copying my custom files over to the new install, then accesing a website thus causing the automatic install to run against a production copy of our database. The install didn't report any errors. Lastly, I'm going from DNN 4.9 to DNN 5.6.

Is there something else I should check?

Thank you all for your help.

I wanted to add to my thread. I'm able to view some ".gif" files. Thus, if I go to: mydomain/portals/7/logo.gif - The logo image comes up. However, if I try to access a flash file: mydomain/portals/7/myflashfile.swf. I get the Domain Name [the domain name/ flash file.swf] Does Not Exist In The Database error. I guess I can rule out a permission issue with the folder.
