Hi Bill:
I do not have a < location > in the web.config.  Is that good or bad?

Just an FYI,
I upgraded the same site in production this morning - did not do a thing different - and all went smoothly without any errors or problems.

In the test environment where I had the problems I had the following error Installing Package File Telerik_05.06.02_Install: Error!

It is odd that most of the time the telerik files load fine, but when it does not you either need to load manually and update the web.config file or start over and hope that it loads the next time.

That's good - the <location> element could have been one potential cause of the Telerik upgrade failure (and other failures where the web.config file is supposed to get updated but does not).

Thanks for the thread.  My upgrade (from 5.6.0 - 5.6.2) did not install the update telerik bin. Copying across the new version and update the webconfig solved it for me.

I since did 3 more upgrades, and they all went fine without this issue.
