I upgraded another website from 5.6.3 to 6.0 and AFTER logging in, I get the following message in the place of ALL modules;
An error has occurred. Unhandled error loading module.
and the message in the place of the toolbar at the top of the screen;

An error has occurred. An error has occurred.

 Any ideas what to do?

As a first guess - its likely that your skin is the culprit - you need to check if you skin is using  custom skin objects or other custom modules - if so chances are you may need to talk to your skin provider about getting updated objects for dnn600.

There are a number of custom skins out there that make shortcuts to achieve their layout - which are not always compliant with the dnn api.
These are likely to break in dnn6x
