Hello,

I do some upgrade on my DNN website, everything is OK.
But when I try to use the app_offline.htm file my web site stop working with an error.

Did I need to change a setting to be able to use this file ??   And if I try to install th update, I got the error.  Everything stop working.

Any idea ??


this is the error :

Server Error in '/' Application.

I add app_offline.htm in DEfault Document in IIS and when I try to reach my web site I got a Blank web page...

But, do not fix my issue with www.mywebsite.com/install/install?mode=debug


Any idea ??

app_offline completely stops asp.net processing so it's only used to take your site offline altogether (typically so you can do some maintenance such as copying over an update - ensuring that the update does not kick off part way through). There is one item to be aware of with app_offline.htm in that the page needs to be larger than 512bytes - http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2006/04/09/442332.aspx
