When upgrading versions, I get errors for all of the optional modules and providers that are trying to install. I've tried changing the file permissions on the website directory to give the aspnet user full access, but still no luck. I don't even know where to begin to troubleshoot since I get no details of the errors. It seems as if the upgrade works, but I don't think those modules and providers where upgraded. Any suggestions?

it looks like your permissions are incorrect -during upgrade various cleanup steps are done (the "Cleaning Up Files..." stages), these typically removed unneeded files and earlier versions of update modules. As you're seeing multiple versions of the same module it would suggest that your user does not have correct permissions - please check they have "modify" as they need to read, write and delete.
