Hello,

I just recently built a DNN site with version 6.1. My client is selling products on the site.  I am using an online shoping cart vendor called Paid Auction inc. I chose this company because of thier international shipping module. through thier product Paid ShopCart, I set up all the prefernces for my products which generates me code and the button that I place near my offered product. When I past the code in html mode, it does not work. I have tested the code by pasting it into a standard html page created in Dreamweaver and the button works properly linking me to my shopping cart account with Paid Auction Inc. I am not sure how to get this code to work inside of a DNN module so that the buttons will work properly. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do to get this to work inside of DNN 6.1 please let me know. This is my first experience with shopping carts and DNN.

Thanks OC

Without seeing the code you are trying to paste into the Html module I can only answer in general terms:

1. If you are using DNN 6.1.0 the rich text editor strips out any markup that includes potentially dangerous tags such as script and object. You will need to upgrade the site to DNN 6.1.2 which provides an option setting to turn off this behavior.

2. Most likely the pasted code contains a form element which is not permitted since one and only one form tag may be included within an ASP.Net page. The code would have to be placed within an IFrame element or incorporated into a custom module. There is an DotNetNuke IFrame module into which an html or aspx pace could be placed.

William,

Thank you so much for your help. I think you have answered my question. I will try the I-fram option. I am fairly new to DNN development and my site is hosted through godaddy. Will upgrading my site to the latest version potentially mess my sit up? For reference, I am trying to use the following code. Thank you for your help.

<FORM ACTION="http://www.auctioninc.com/cart/" ENCTYPE="application/x-www-form-urlencoded" METHOD="post"  TARGET="cartWindow" >
<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="cmd" VALUE="_cart">

William,

Once again thank you for you help. I did manage to get my site to update to DNN 6.1.2.  Could tell where I can locate the option that allows me to cut of the rich text editor ability to strip potentially dangerious tags. Thank You.

Olie
