After upgrading the site from version 6.1.2 to 7.0.5 I noticed that the Module Action Menu does not appear for all modules. If it does appear, the menu items do not function. Hovering over them does not expose the menu items. Here's a small video demonstrating what I'm talking about http://screencast.com/t/Xi0k3tcx6l. Viewing source code shows the unordered lists that make up the menu items are empty. Fortunately the module action menu items are displayed as icons and text at the bottom of the modules. Has anyone experienced anything like this. I'm not sure if it's a skin issue or a DNN bug.

Anyone else experiencing this or know of a fix.

Thanks
Albert

Try doing a shift-refresh and see if you are having any caching issues with the JS and the upgrade

Thanks for the suggestion Chris, but that didn't prove fruitful. The odd thing about it is that I did a test upgrade to 7.0.4 with the exact same website and I didn't have this problem with the module action menu.

For those who may come across this issue, I figured out what was causing it.

I discovered that I had checked the Use Hosted jQuery Version under Host Settings > Advanced Settings > jQuery Settings. Well it turns out that the version of jQuery for DNN 6.1.2 at the time was 1.6.4.

DNN 7.0.5 currently uses 1.7.2.

Once I changed the Hosted jQuery URL to http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/... the Module Action Menu worked fine.

Glad you found it! I forgot that was a cause of this, though I did experience it myself last year
