I want to start with some basic information including that I am not a trained (or even experienced) web developer.  I did successfully create a website for my employer using the dnn version 6.02.05 though a GoDaddy hosted site.  We have recently experienced some security issues and I noticed an upgrade was recommended so I am trying to upgrade to determine if that will resolve the security issues.

From the wiki it looks like I need to upgrade to 7.03.03 and I have downloaded the upgrade files to my computer.  I have watched the video about the upgrade.  I have run the GoDaddy backups of the servers but the SQL server web admin interface through GoDaddy does not show the file structure it looks like I need to copy over.  What step am I missing?  Do I need to go through virtual studio to find the files?

Other than some iframes and a few standard modules the site is fairly basic.

you need to copy the files, not the database, which will be modified automatically automatically during the upgrade.
Please make sure the site is running on .Net 4 in integrated mode, prior to the upgrade.
depending on the modules used and site configuration, you might consider upgrading in 2 steps via DNN 7.1.2.
I would use DNN 7.3.4 as target version, which includes a number of bug fixes.
