Hi, hopefully someone will be able to help with this.

I've done an upgrade from v7.1 to v8.04 and then to v9.2 (In a test site of course) which I got working properly after a few adjustments (iFrame, I'm looking at you...) however I've now found that I cannot upload documents using the document manager in the HTML module with the error above being shown in a small box above the document manager along with some other html.  The document manager itself loads ok and I can select a file to upload but it never does anything.

Anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this - it would seem to be an issue with a fundamental DNN module (so nothing esoteric or 3rd party) so not sure why it's happening.

Happy to provide more info if requested

thanks

Barry

Which HTML editor are you currently using? Likely need to switch to a more recent one.
Navigate to site settings
Site Behavior
More

Then click the Open HTML Editor Manager link.

Thanks Chris - that gave me the clue I needed.  I got a 404 error for that link which led me to the following link.

http://www.dnnsoftware.com/forums/threadid/536733/scope/posts/threadpage/5

I made the changes mentioned in that link (see below) and it's all working now.

  1. edit your web.config file using a plain text editor (like notepad.exe) or use Settings > Configuration Manager and select the file.
Search for "urlFormat" and replace value "userFriendly" by "advanced.
  2.   edit web.config and change "DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider" set for the htmlEditor defaultProvider  to "DNNConnect.CKE" resolved my issue

Many thanks

Barry

The "event viewer" is now called Admin logs under the manage (the crossed wrenches) icon.
