I had an old Website by DNN 7 and after long time, it has been upgrade to DNN 8 and again after 5-6 months again upgraded to DNN 9.1.1. We just hidden Search Icon before, and Last week my clients ask me to add search icon because we had several content and now need to search.

When we shown search in Skin, I saw it's not working. I compare web.config and I copied provider, resource, desktop/admin and all things that maybe related by search engine in DNN, but It just working when I Open page settings and Save it. Only page will search if you open page settings and save settings again.

There is 500 pages in this client Website and in DNN 9.1.1 also when you save a page, the bug will happen and position of page (index order) will change and I should move manually also after save page.

So, There is several problem in DNN. how can I fix it? How can I save all pages by special Query or some bug fix for Search Crawler hat I can see inside page by search without Open and save page settings for each pages one by one?

you can see on http://new.shaghayegh2.com and you can try to find " سیب ", there are lot of pages by this word. but not coming, if I save page settings, It will come.

I need urgently help please.

I forgot tell you, saving again page setting just can let you to find page name only and again you can not find and HTML/TEXT inside of page.
Also other modules like Active forum or UMG and etc are not in search result.

Only DNNArticle 10.10 content come into search results.

What is problem? how can I fix it?

please note that DNN 7+ is using Lucene.Net for the search index.
If you encounter issues, it often helps to delete content of /AppData/search folder and re-index.
the search indexer job in Scheduler needs to be active to query all searchable modules (see module settings) for its content:

There might be issues with special characters, I havent tired it with non-latin text, sorry.
If you encounter issues, please log at https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Pl..., in order to get it fixed, thank you.

Dear sebastian

Thank you for reply. I check all module settings and schedule and files.

The problem is the pages not crawl else I open page settings and save them manually.

If I do this, that page will crawl and will come in search results. So, I should open hundreds of pages manually one by one to fix this issue for regular html pages and I should find a way to crawl Active Forum module.

My question is how can I crawl pages automatically.

Armin,
the DNN Search indexer job should query all modules.
did you check history of the search indexer job and eventlog for errors?
