I have downloaded the newest VS Template - Starter Kit from codeplex, v5.2.3 I guess, but when I look at the version of the .dnn generated manifest, it uses the 3.0 syntax...

As I can see, I want to be able to use the nodes to add handlers and config nodes into the web.config .. Can we do that with DNN Manifest files v.3.0 ? If so, can I see an example?

Or ... How can I get the latest version 5.0 of the dnn file in VS Templates ?

TIA !

I am not aware of any VSTemplates that have the 5.x manifest format, you can use the Create Extension process though via a 5.x installation to see how it is done, and build your own.
