I am creating a proof of concept for DNN7 to replace our existing CMS solution. Could anyone point me in the right direction for customising the login to be delegated to another website using shared forms authentication?

The solution must be able to perform the following:

  1. Login by redirecting to another website which is NOT OAuth (eg. joebloggs.co.uk redirects to login.joebloggs.co.uk when a user wants to login).
  2. Use forms authentication cookie to ensure use is authenticated.
  3. Sync or read users roles/details from an external source (service) once user has been authenticated.

Thanks in advance,

Craig

Hi

This can be achieved by integrating Single Sign On feature in your custom login module. For detail process you can check below link:

Thanks for your input Sibabrata. I will produce and PoC using that approach and see where it gets me. I am also considering an approach that involves writing a HTTPModule similar to this http://cozinhadomenino.blogspot.co.uk....

Thanks,

Craig
