I really need help with this. This is crazy easy to reproduce.

 - Download the latest version of the DNN platform source code.
 - Open the DNN_PlatformNoTests.sln file in VS 2013.
 - Validate that all is fine compilation-wise by doing a clean and rebuild on the solution.
 - Right-click on the DNN_Platform-site/DNN_Platform project and select, "Publish Web Site"
 - Walk through the wizard, selecting a "File System" deployment and  when you get to the "File Publish Options" expand it and select the "[ ] Precompile during publishing" check-box.

Publishing the application will fail with errors in listeditor.ascx, viewprofile.ascx and EditProfileDefinition.ascx.

As a test, I deleted the offending lines from those controls; I know, breaking functionality, but i just wanted to get the thing to deploy without errors, but no joy.

Hi Philip,

Just so happens I was busy with this yesterday.

It is done in a different way to the way you are trying.

Jeo Brinkman as made a tutorial video about Github and how to setup the source code for development and debugging and it works great.

One thing I ran into was when I tried to get a copy from Github to my local box when using the Windows Github app....

Make sure that the location when you are trying to copyto on your local machine has the proper rights.
