Hi All,

I am pretty new to module development so you may notice that I haven't used the same terminology as to what you guys are using.......

I am developing a module which has got multiple views. I am basically having a Master View which has got a Panel as placeholder and then at runtime, determining the view to be loaded from the module settings. Everything works so far except the App_LocalResource on my EditView.

For my edit view, I have created a new custom view and added the configuration inside manifest(.dnn) file. That file name is for example EditItem.ascx

Now, I created a Local Resource named EditItem.ascx.resx and added all the fields for my dnn labelcontrol. But somehow, labels are not reading from the App-LocalResources folder. Can anyone point me in right direction

Thanks in advance,

Nimesh

Hi Guys,

I fixed it. Actually, I didn't had the UserControl (.ascx) in the root folder of the module, because my module will have different views, I had something along the UserControls\ViewName\EditControl.ascx. For the App_LocalResource to work with dnn labelcontrol, place the EditControl.ascx in the root folder of the module. I just wanted to separate the module into logical part, but no good here.

So by placing the usercontrol in the root folder, it will work.

Cheers,

Nimesh
