I was following the basic module development video by chris  hammond using DNN6.02.03 and VISUAL STUDIO 2010 professional.  But I can not create the project. The error message says : "The web application project dnnexplained is configured to use IIS. Unable to access the IIS metabase. You do not have sufficient privelege to access IIS web sites in your machine"  Anyone have any idea why?I was following the basic module development video by chris  hammond using DNN6.02.03 and VISUAL STUDIO 2010 professional.  But I can not create the project. Did you follow the IIS setup instruction on this page

[You also need to be sure you tick the box to allow static content, while you are setting up IIS]

Hi Bill.  

Thanks for the quick response.   I did follow the instruction as listed in your link.  I think I set the permission in the security tab correctly but I still  got the error message.

OK Hamzah,

and did you start VS2010 with a right click on the icon/shortcut/link and choose the Run As Administrator option?

It does not matter if the account you are using is a machine admin or not, you still need to start VS2010 this way for everything to work.
