I am getting incorrect errors of missing files that are in "cleanup component" nodes, these files are being removed and shouldn’t be in the zip package.

Hey Robert,

Thanks for pointing that out.

I've made an update so that the existence of files inside of nodes won't be checked for like the nodes are.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Cheers,

Nathan Rover

Hi Nathan,

Retested, and the cleanup nodes are working properly for me now.

However, I have two directories I create as place holders for extension using the code below.
It appears that the source file tag is not recognized.

< component type="File" >
< files >
< basePath>App_Code< / basePath >
< file >
< name >WebSuite_Vehicle\Extensions\Export\PlaceHolder.txt< / name >
< sourceFileName >WebSuite_Vehicle\PlaceHolder.txt< / sourceFileName >
< / file >
< file >
< name >WebSuite_Vehicle\Extensions\Import\PlaceHolder.txt< / name >
< sourceFileName >WebSuite_Vehicle\PlaceHolder.txt< / sourceFileName >
< / file >
< / files >
< / component >

Hello Robert,

Thanks again for the feedback.

I've just pushed up an update to EVS that fixes the issue with shared nodes.

I've also finished the rest of the two-way file checker. Now EVS will issue an error if it detects a file in the manifest that is not in the package. It will also now issue a warning if it detects a file in the package that is not listed in the manifest.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Cheers,

Nathan Rover

Hi Nathan,

The errors I was having with placeholders are fixed.

I have just ran a single module package than is returning missing files.

The package structure is:

App_LocalResources
Icons
Templates
dEdit.css
dEditDesigner.ascx

The manifest structure is:

< component type="File" >
< files >
< basePath >DesktopModules\WebSuite_Testimonial< / basePath >
< file >
< name >dEditDesigner.ascx< / name >
< / file >
< file >
< path >App_LocalResources< / path >
< name >dEditDesigner.ascx.resx< / name >
< / file >
< / files >

Files in subdirectories are ok, but ones in the root of the package are flagged as missing.
