I'm having trouble sending mails form dnn modules in medium trust environments ( godaddy.com), due to security restrictions.  From a module I created, to send mail using the .NET 1.1 email services, and it works well locally and the mails are sent; ( full trust), but not when deployed in Godaddy.

Then I'm trying the FeedBack module, but I have the following problems:

When I configure Host Settings for SMPT to smpt.gmail.com port 465 or 567, I get a lot of errors and no connection.  When sending mail with he module, it doesn´t threw any errors, but the mails were not sent..

I'm getting this behavior in my module when using the .NET 2.0 Mail services also.

Thanks, Cesar Castano. Bogota Colombia S.A.

Have you setup the smtp setting in Host settings with your email user name and passwort?  I think it is a secured mail server whitch do not send anonymous mails.

The Mail in DNN using the .NET 2.0 Framework.  And all Modules in DNN should using this service, but work first with the right smtp settings.

Gmail is going out over SSL, which from my understanding on the medium trust environment on GoDaddy is not something that is allowed.

You will need to work with GoDaddy to resolve the issues with the trust level and your desired outside resources.
