This is a bug, we see in all DNN 5.5.1 installation we have.

Nothing to do with Net4 since we run with Net2.

I hope it will be fixed at some point.

From looking at the code for the Catcha control, it appears that this error is occuring when extracting the width or height values from the encrypted string passed via the "captcha" querystring parameter. Without being able to step through the code I can't tell if the corruption of the encrypted captcha parameter is occuring when it is first generated or after it round trips in the query string.

Can you pin down more under what circumstances you are seeing this error? I am particularly interest in knowing if it occurs when a search bot rather than a user is viewing the page where the Captcha is displayed - look at the User Agent field in the error mesage.

Were the sites clean installs of DNN 5.5.1 or were they upgraded from a prior version? If upgraded, did the issue first appear after the upgrade to DNN 5.5.1?

Are you using any third party URL re-writing extensions?

Although it does not appear that this issue is specific to the DotNetNuke Feedback module, I would like to find a solution to it.

This is not a Feedback module problem since it also happens in register page when captcha is used.

We run a clean 5.5.1 dnn with no url rewriters
