Hello, thanks for your help in this great feedback tool! My question is if there is a way for another module to query and display the information stored in the Feedback database (such as Private, Pending, or Published feedback).

Specifically what I am trying to do is to populate a drop down list using the  'Dynamic Forms' module using a SQL command that I am hoping could be linked to the data stored from the Feedback module. Thank you for your time in this!

Hi Dan,

Sorry, should have replied sooner. I can't say I know the Dynamic Forms module, but assuming it can process a SQL coomand you should be able to extract the data out of the Feedback modules table to do what you want.

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,

Thanks for the reply. Would you be able to tell me the location of the feedback database or how I would name the 'table' where the data is stored? Do you know if the feedback module creates a new database for each module (in this case I am scoping the feedback to a single module not across the portal)?  Or is it that each feedback is stored in the same database with a reference to the moduleId or something similar?  Any chance for a simple SELECT syntax on it? Thanks much!

Hi Dan,

The Feedback module stores its data in the standard database used by DNN, one that you will have defined when you installed DNN. The main table is the 'Feedback' table, though there is a FeedbackList table as well.

A simple query of 'SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}Feedback]' will return the contents of the table when entered into the Host/SQL dialogue. The databaseOwner and objectQualifier elements are items you also defined when you installed DNN, and should be replaced with the actual values if you are using some other method of entering SQl queries.

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,

Thanks so much for that, it worked perfectly! One final question if you don't mind; What are the possible values for the 'Status' column and what do each represent? Thank you, you've been of great help.
