Having read previous blog/forum posts about this, I downloaded the latest Media module version, however, I still get the following:
.
File type mp4 is not valid in this context. Valid File Types Include: jpg,jpeg,jpe,gif,bmp,png,swf,.swf,.avi,.wmv,.midi,.wav,.asx,.mp3,.mpeg,.asf,.wma,.ram,.rpm,.rm,.mov,.qt,.mp4
.
As you can see, I've added the file type MP4 to the Host Settings configuration for this particular portal.

Please advise.

I am unable to duplicate this issue at this time. Do you have any additional errors or information that can help me duplicate the issue you're experiencing?

I can't get the media module (version 3.2.3) on Dot Net Nuke version 05.06.03 (45) to allow .mp4 files.  My site allows for .mp4 and I've uploaded my video to the site already.

When I go into my media module and attempt to choose a file that is already on my site, I navigate to the folder that holds my .mp4 and several .wmv files, but I can ONLY see .wmv files, not my mp4.

When I go into my media module and try to upload my .mp4 file, I get this:  File type mp4 is not valid in this context. Valid File Types Include: jpg,jpeg,jpe,gif,bmp,png,swf,AVI,MPEG,MP3,ASF,ASX,WMA,WMV,WAV,MIDI,QT,MOV,RM,RAM,RPM

That version of the media module does not support MP4.  Sorry.  MP4 is only supported in version 04.00.00 (the current version today).  However, that version is only meant to be installed on DNN v06.00.00 and newer.
