Hi,

I'm trying to find/implement a news section on my dnn site (v4) that will show recent documents added to the site (sort of latest news on the site).

How do i implement such a feature.

thanks

One way to do it is to set up your DNN Documents module on a page.  Modify the settings checking the Syndicate checkbox.  Then, add a New Feeds module somewhere on a different page, and use the url for the Documents module feed (click the xml icon on the Documents module to get the URL).  This should allow you to display the syndicated items from the Documents module once the routine re-index of the cached items is refreshed.

Now, to limit to just a date range, or the number of items to display, you will have to create a custom transformation file for use with the New Feed module, but the default one will give you the news to begin.

That's one way to do it.  There are some other 3rd party modules, like the What's New module that provides a smilar function.  I'm not sure if it's available for v4.x though.
