I've looked through a number of threads and looked through Gemini but couldn't find anything specifically identifying the XML feed generated by the core blog as incompatible with the News module.

When I try to pull the feed from the blog module (on an interior page of my site) the News module keeps breaking my skin by leaving div open and consuming the next pane. When I plugged in another feed (from feedburner), no problems.

I have downloaded 4.00.1 as well, and still see this issue. When I click "Clear Feed Cache" the feed works well temporarily until I refresh the page again.

Any ideas? I'm okay if its just a known issue with the core blog's feed, but want to make sure I haven't overlooked something. Thanks for your help!

Psych! I just noticed the news module still is breaking with the feed from feedburner. Its not isolated to the core blog's feed. This site is in the process of development (a freebie for my mom), but you're welcome to look at what I'm talking about here: http://imagethreads-com.web27.winsvr.net/

You may need to hit the page and then refresh to see the issue.

Patrick, I did test News 4.0.0 with Blog module without issues. You may however try the latest beta of News 4.0.1, which is less strict regarding standard compliance of feeds.

Thanks for the suggestion Sebastian. I've run into this issue with both 4.0.0 and 4.0.1 beta.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

you also may try to consume the feed using XML/XSL module and an appropriate XSL file (e.g. from News module V 3).
