As I've mentioned in your previous post, http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/48/threadid/260325/scope/posts/Default.aspx, the feed you mention uses a non-standard pubDate element structure. The new release is going to choke on this feed and your only option at this point is to use the XML/XSL module with a custom XSL.  I fix issues like this by reviewing the source feed and creating a custom solution.  This method is not for the novice, and I understand if folks don't like this method.  However, when I have to correct an issue quickly, that's what I do.  Adding something like this to a custom XSL will work around the issue.

 <xsl:if test="pubDate">
   <xsl:variable name="saneDate" select="substring-before(substring-after(pubDate,'&quot;'),'&quot;')" />
  (<xsl:value-of select="$saneDate"/>)<br/>
 </xsl:if>

Your sample feed includes a pubDate element structured as follows:

<pubDate> "Mon, 3 Nov 08 0:00:00 EST"</pubDate>

The above code snippet gets rid of the space and quotes that choke the News module from downloading the feed.  I know that you've reported the issue to the news provider, but they really need to fix their feed and confirm to the RSSv2.0 spec to make their feed more available to others.

See my blog for more info.

Cheers

The problem with this one is that the feed is not being sent for the module. This is because the module is not sending the same headers as IE for instance. The RSS engine at aopa detects this and for some reason decides not to react with the feed. I can only guess at their motivation. I have already made some changes to the headers for 04.00.01 but aparently we need more.
