Hello, I am trying to create a custom transformation in which the feed source has one element (<description>), which has a large string that I'd like to parse. As such, I'd like to convert it to a node, so I can then parse it using XPath selectors, like this:

<xsl:variable name="description-node" select="msxsl:node-set($newDesc)"/>

And I declared the namespace: xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt"

but this doesn't work.

Actually, I can't get the replace function to work either, which is in XSLT 2.0....I put stylesheet version="2.0", will this allow me to use XSLT 2.0 or not?

Ah, thanks. Ok, so I have had to go through and just use xslt 1.0 and xpath 1.0 methods then.
