hi, i am getting the following error while installing survey module on my DNN 4.5.1 pl help me out

ExceptionSystem.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.Config.AddCodeSubDirectory(String name) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateModuleFile(PaFile File, PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateFiles(PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.Install(PaFolderCollection folders) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

this is occuring for XML(04.03.03) and Reports (04.04.02), But all other modelues were good Thanks in Advance, Regards, VVBKumar

Exact same problem here; exact same modules.  I did a fresh XP Pro install, VS 2005, SQL Express, DNN 4.5.1...same issue.

 

Anyone else run into problems with these same 3 modules?  The install went off without a hitch, but adding all the modules has been problematic.

The Survey module should still install fine. The error is not with the Survey module. it is with the Core installer. the Core is aware of the issue and working on a solution.

Would an easy work around be to download the modules and install them separately, rather than the batch install using the core source?  When I first tried DNN with the old pre-4.5 release, the survey module did, in fact, install perfectly...just do a manual install of the 3 that failed?

Hi Michael,

Ya i think u are right , the problem is with the core DNN.

 

but how do i  uninstall the core module and install earlier version (4.4.1) of DNN ?
