I would like to add a link button for each option within a given survey. In the datalist control I added a linkbutton, but I am not sure how to gererate a link button for each option. I would like the link button to pull up a rating page passing in the survey OptionID as a parameter, thus I can tally the results and allow users to rate the specific survey options.

Thanks in advance!

Larry

you would set it in the:

Private Sub lstSurvey_ItemDataBound(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataListItemEventArgs) Handles lstSurvey.ItemDataBound

event.

I am curious why you would want them to rate the option. Aren't they doing that when they vote for an option?

Thanks for your response! Eventually we want to pull off the radio buttons and make the module geared toward rating the unique option with the ability to add commentary. We want the rating/polling system to allow more fine tuned reasoning behind the vote. How would I populate each of the link buttons with the string "Rate It". Would I set this similar to how the radio/check boxes are being set in the lstSurvey)ItemDataBoud event? Could you please provide a sample? Thanks again, Larry

I will consider adding the ability to provide a comment fro each option in a future release (this could be months away).

i do not have a good code example of the databound, but you could look at the code on this page:
