Can I set the default file storage location to another server other then the server then portal and child portals are installed on?

If you've got the other storage location mapped as a drive letter then definitely (note: the ASPNET user on your webserver will have to have read/write access on the storage location unless you're using impersonation). As a UNC mapping...... I honestly can't remember off the top of my head if it'll work or not and I'm in the process of transferring my data to a new dev machine and can't try it at the moment.

Mike,

Thanks for the response, when you have a chance could you verify that a UNC path will work?

We are presently in the process of making some design decisions on document storage.

Thanks Again

Dan Codispoti
