Hi Steve,

I don't want to plague you with newbie questions. I just installed the mod and configured for NiftyVideo. Uploaded a wmv file with no problem. When I am in the user interface, I see the embeded media player but I can not get it to play. Yes I am using IE. When you click the play button, you see a quick toggle to the pause button - back to the play button and that's it.

Any ideas?

Is there available documentation for this module?

Documentation is still being worked on. The holiday season put an understandable delay on completion but we're hoping to have it completed for the next release (tentatively the end of January).

I haven't tried/used that template but will take a look at it tonight.

Added the bug to Gemini but unfortunately it won't make the 3.1.8 release. http://support.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?p=22&i=2377

There is a bug in the skining engine when injecting the player IF the name of your virtual directory does not match your physical root folder.

For example: If your files are in c:\wwwroot\inetpub\dotnetnuke and your virtual directory is named 'dotnetnuke' ( ie: the virt dir name matches ) then everything will work fine. If your virtual directory is named 'dnn' ( ie: they don't match ) then the video player will not work, as the path to the media will be generated using the physical folder name.

You can check this by going to the page with repository using the video player skin. View the source code of the rendered page and look for the < object > tag for the player. Find the "src" parameter and check to see if it's being constructed properly.

Hi Steve,

I had checked and I do have a match in IIS and the folder. I had deleted the original module and created a new one to perform your test suggestion.

The only thing, that I did differn't this time was to add an image. It worked????

Now, of course, that brings me to another question:
If you decide not to have a image, go back and edit the entry, there is no delete control for the image?????
