First of all I would like to say that the repository module is a perfect addition to the DNN framework.

There is only one thing which I would like to add to the functionality.

When I upload a file, I can’t see the actual status of the upload. Therefore I think it would be a nice option to add a progress bar where You can see the actual progress in bytes and/or percentage.

The same option would also be a nice addition for the file manager module.

I would love to do it myself but at the moment I'm discovering the wonderful world of coding and the “hello world” module still looks like magic too me .

It's true that the status bar indicates the upload progress when uploading small files but whenever I try to upload a large file (> 5Mb), the indicator reaches 100% way before the file is actually uploaded. This makes users a bit unsure if the file is actually being uploaded or that the connection has failed somehow.

At the moment I'm digging deep into the framework to get the hang of it. I hope that I will be able to contribute a solution for this myself as soon as possible (probably when version 6 of DotNetNuke will be released).

Sorry to rehash an old topic.  Has anyone figured out how to add a progress bar to file uploads to the repository?
