In the upload form the filepath field is editable ,hence even if we give a wrong filepath we can upload a file.But when someone tries to download it ,there is a critical error .how can this problem be solved.

when you upgrade to 03.01.14, you will have the option to use the new URLCONTROLFILE token instead of the current [FILE] token in your form.html files. This will render the DotNetNuke URL control for file uploads which will solve your problem

Using  URLCONTROLFILE makes the browse button disappear .Cant we just make the textfield noneditable and the file can be uploaded only using the browse button
